Registration

Welcome New Families! 

Whether you have an incoming Kindergartner or are transferring from another school district, this is where to begin. If you are moving from within the Lake Washington School District, you need only contact Blackwell and provide updated proof of residency items to our Registrar, Lisa Nelson (lnelson@lwsd.org)

Registrations are completed online by clicking HERE.  Paper registration packets are also available in our office if needed.

You will need to gather the following documents:

1. Birth Certificate or Passport
2. Proof of Residency Items (2 Needed)
3. Immunizations

For entrance into Kindergarten, students must turn 5 on or before August 31, 2024.

Tours are available at any time by contacting Lisa Nelson in our front office at lnelson@lwsd.org.

Just for Kindergarten Families

Our Kindergarten Team is looking forward to getting to know your student next year.  Please take a look at the Kindergarten Readiness Sheet they have prepared to help families get their students ready for this exciting new chapter!

Our Principal, Mr. Eaton, has also prepared information especially for incoming Kindergarten families.  His presentation is available by clicking HERE.

Important Dates for Kindergarten Families:

• August Events:
  • Aug. 21 Kindergarten Pre-Assessment  --- This is a quick 15 minute meeting between each incoming Kinder and one of our teachers.  Teachers are able to get a sense of strengths and challenges for the overall grade level.  This information helps them form balanced classes
  • Aug. 31 - Schoolwide Meet and Greet
• WaKIDS
  • September 3, 4, & 5
    • Family Connection Meetings (30-40 min/family)
  • First Day school for Kindergarten is Friday, Sept. 6 & 9 – Staggered Start – Date will be assigned in late August
